Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know my results were uploaded correctly?

After ending your stream, go to the Leaderboard page to verify that your results are properly appearing. Please wait up to 20 minutes for results to update. If your results are not accurate, please contact support@smash.gg with your username, stream link, and a summary of what is not accurate.

If I get in the top 50 and also meet the criteria for Embers will I receive both prizes?

Yes. Players can receive prizes from multiple tiers in a given week.

Who is eligible to participate?

Open to persons 18+ who reside in a Mixer.com platform supported country found here. Travel prizes only available to residents of the 50 US (+D.C.). Cash prizes only available to residents residing in countries, areas or regions using the following currencies: US Dollar, British Pounds, Euros, or Canadian Dollars. Void in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Quebec, Sudan, Syria, Region of Crimea, and where prohibited.

If I enter after the event starts do my streams count retroactively?

No. Players can register for an event any time during the week, however, stream results don’t count until you’ve registered. For example, all events start on Mondays, so signing up on Wednesday will not count any streams on Monday or Tuesday.

How do tiebreakers work?

For details on tiebreakers and point structure visit the point structure page.

Do I need to enter specific servers in-game?

No. Your server doesn’t matter.

How are team points counted towards the leaderboard?

Your results are counted from your in-game information, so beware that if you play on a team only your goals or kills will count and not the overall team goals or kills. If the game uses ranked wins they count all the same whether you’re on a team or not.

If I am mid-game when I start my stream does that game count?

No. You must start your stream prior to starting any game play for your results to count.

My stream crashed, does it still count?

Any completed games that occur during your stream will count. Any games in progress when your stream crashes will not count.

When would the Embers arrive in my account?

Embers will arrive in your account within 14 days of the end of the event.

When should I expect contact about weekly cash prizing?

You will be contacted via the email associated with your Smash.gg account during registration within 14 days of the end of the event.

When should I expect contact about the grand prize trip to E3 2019?

You will be contacted via the email associated with your Smash.gg account during registration by June 4th, 2019.

Disqualifications

Breach of Mixer’s Terms of Service • Impersonating another player • Creating multiple accounts to participate • Abusive behavior or hate speech • Account sharing • Using aimbots, hacks, alterations, modifications, or otherwise providing an unfair advantage to yourself over the competition

Any gameplay that is not in the spirit of fair competition and/or aimed at exploiting games systems is prohibited, and ineligible for points in the competition. If games are identified that abuse this in conjunction with spawn-camping in an egregious manner those games will not have their Kills counted.
